ITALIAN Client requires ITALIAN speaking Carer

Carers & Companions is a boutique agency where we provide in-home personal care for Clients in their own homes so they can live independently with a little help from us.

We have a vacancy for an ITALIAN speaking Carer to provide 3-4 hours of personal care and companion services three to four days a week for our Client in the Auburn / Lidcombe area. Our Client has medium level dementia and at times forgets to eat and sometimes shower and would really benefit from having a companion that can speak Italian and English with her.

Carer’s duties may include:

• Personal care duties such as showering, toileting, care assistance
• Light household duties like tidying & laundry
• Shopping and cooking nutritious Italian meals
• Provide social interaction & companionship
• Be willing to complete a short report on duties completed by the end of the shift and be tech savvy to take a photo of the report and email back to the Office from your mobile

Carer’s requirements:

• Minimum two years working in Aged Care (residential, community or private Clients) with recent references we can check
• Cert III in Aged Care/Cert lll in Individual Support in Aged Care OR similar
• Experience with Dementia Clients
• A current Police check (less than 6 months old) or willing to obtain
• Excellent verbal and written English essential
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Australian resident
• MUST speak Italian

SHIFTS ARE MINIMUM OF 3 HOURS. Normally on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
