MALE Client requires MALE Carer

Area: Mosman  Start: ASAP   Days: Wednesday’s (ongoing)   Hours: 3 hours 9.45am to 12.45pm

Carers & Companions is a boutique agency where we provide in-home personal care for Clients so they can live independently with a little help from us.

We have a vacancy for an experienced Male Carer to provide 3 hours of care which will consist of; companionship, walking, preparing lunch, prompting medication, keeping kitchen tidy, assisting Client with computer learning and possibly transport work. One day a week for three hours to commence immediately.

Our Male Client has Parkinson’s disease and requires the Carer to have a current driver’s license with a clean car. The Carer must be reliable and commit to this shift on an ongoing basis.

Carer’s duties may include:

• Companionship, walking, preparing lunch, prompting medication, keeping kitchen tidy
• Showing the Client how to use his computer, and
• Possibly transporting the Client to an appointment

Carer’s requirements:

1. Minimum two years’ experience in Aged Care
2. Cert III in Aged Care/Cert III in Individual Support OR Similar Qualifications
3. A current Police Background check (less than 6 months old) or willing to obtain one for $54
4. Current CPR Certificate / Current First Aid
5. Excellent verbal and written English skills
6. Australian residents only
